Chainline Cycles

About Chainline Cycles

Our Story

Chainline Cycles started in a converted garage with a simple frustration: we couldn't find a bike shop that actually cared about the mechanics' work. Most shops treated servicing as an afterthought—something to squeeze in between till transactions. We knew better.

We built Chainline around the workshop first. Everything else follows from that: the mechanics' expertise, the quality of the repairs, the time we take to get it right. We're riders ourselves—commuters, weekend adventurers, racers, dirt explorers—and we built a shop we'd want to take our own bikes to.

Fifteen years in, that hasn't changed. The workshop is still where we spend our best energy. It's why people come back.

The Workshop Team

Years of hands-on expertise across every kind of bike.

Road & Track

Drop-bar geometry, electronic drivetrains, aerodynamic tuning—our mechanics have spent years chasing marginal gains on the road and velodrome. They understand what precision looks like.

Mountain & Dirt

Suspension tuning, drivetrain durability, geometry and geometry again. We know what a bike needs to survive—and thrive—off-road, and we set it up to handle what you throw at it.

Hand-Built Wheels

This is where we really lean in. Every wheel laced by hand, balanced, trued to the micron. We've built wheels for local racers, long-distance tourers, and daily commuters. Each one is built to your bike, your weight, and your riding.

What We Believe

Honest pricing, no surprises

We tell you what's wrong, what it costs to fix, and what we actually recommend. No upselling you parts you don't need, no mystery charges. Fair rates for real work.

Quality over cheap

We stock parts that last and perform. Sometimes that costs a bit more upfront. It always costs less over the life of your bike, and it rides better from day one.

Repair over replace

We'll rebuild what you've got if it's worth rebuilding. Not every problem needs a new bike. Sometimes it just needs a mechanic who knows the difference.

Part of the Local Riding Community

We're not just a shop on a corner. We sponsor local group rides, host beginner-friendly repair evenings where anyone can learn basic maintenance, and show up to community events. Our mechanics ride with you—they're out there on the roads and trails you ride.

Those repair evenings matter to us. Watching a commuter fix their own dropped chain for the first time, or a new rider understand why their brakes feel spongy—that's the same energy we bring to the workshop when you bring in your bike. We're here to share what we know.
